The work The Egg by Kudzanai-Violet Hwami was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale in Association with Poly Auction auction at Phillips in Hong Kong in June 2021. It achieved a price of HKD 1,764,000.00 (€ 191,616.14), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 47%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kudzanai-Violet Hwami - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Skye Wanehanda (I), which sold at auction in April 2021 for HKD 3,780,000.00 (€ 404,708.23).

Die Arbeit The Egg von Kudzanai-Violet Hwami wurde im Juni 2021 in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale in Association with Poly Auction bei Phillips in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 1.764.000,00 (€ 191.616,14) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 47%. Für andere Arbeiten von Kudzanai-Violet Hwami mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Skye Wanehanda (I) beobachtet, die im April 2021 für HKD 3.780.000,00 (€ 404.708,23) versteigert wurde.
