Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Zimbabweanrevelations V, State Of The Nation Series, 2011 by Kudzanai Chiurai was sold in the Modern & Contemporary African Art auction at Sothebys in London in March 2018. The price achieved of GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,404.37) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kudzanai Chiurai - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Zimbabwean enterprise , which sold at auction in October 2018 for GBP 16,250.00 (€ 18,324.99).

Die Arbeit Zimbabweanrevelations V, State Of The Nation Series, 2011 von Kudzanai Chiurai wurde im März 2018 in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary African Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.625,00 (€ 6.404,37) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Kudzanai Chiurai mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Zimbabwean enterprise beobachtet, die im Oktober 2018 für GBP 16.250,00 (€ 18.324,99) versteigert wurde.
