Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Dehydrated Dream by Kristin Baker was auctioned at Christies in London in October 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,375.00 (€ 4,858.06) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kristin Baker achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Washzert Suisse in November 2012 with an auction result of USD 242,500.00 (€ 186,395.08).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Dehydrated Dream von Kristin Baker kam im Oktober 2020 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 4.375,00 (€ 4.858,06) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kristin Baker erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Washzert Suisse im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 242.500,00 (€ 186.395,08).
