Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Krishna Shamrao Kulkarni achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in March last year. In the Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art auction, the work without title sold for USD 5,040.00 (€ 4,543.41) - well above the upper estimate of USD 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Krishna Shamrao Kulkarni achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in September 2006 with an auction result of USD 72,000.00 (€ 56,751.00).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Krishna Shamrao Kulkarni erzielte im März letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 5.040,00 (€ 4.543,41) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Krishna Shamrao Kulkarni erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im September 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 72.000,00 (€ 56.751,00).
