Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Woman and Child); Untitled (Bullock Cart) by Krishna Shamrao Kulkarni was sold in the South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art auction at Christies in New York in September 2016. The price achieved of USD 2,375.00 (€ 2,113.37) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Krishna Shamrao Kulkarni achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in September 2006 with an auction result of USD 72,000.00 (€ 56,751.00).
