Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Krishna Shamrao Kulkarni could be acquired at Sothebys in London in October 2015 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art auction, the work Untitled (Abstract Women) changed hands for GBP 1,750.00 (€ 2,447.81) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Krishna Shamrao Kulkarni achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in September 2006 with an auction result of USD 72,000.00 (€ 56,751.00).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Krishna Shamrao Kulkarni konnte im Oktober 2015 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art wechselte die Arbeit Untitled (Abstract Women) für GBP 1.750,00 (€ 2.447,81) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Krishna Shamrao Kulkarni erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im September 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 72.000,00 (€ 56.751,00).
