Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Farmer Plowing) by Krishna Shamrao Kulkarni was sold in the Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art auction at Sothebys in New York in September 2012. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 10,625.00 (€ 8,264.62) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Krishna Shamrao Kulkarni have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in September 2006 with an auction result of USD 72,000.00 (€ 56,751.00).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Farmer Plowing) von Krishna Shamrao Kulkarni wurde im September 2012 in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 10.625,00 (€ 8.264,62) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Krishna Shamrao Kulkarni auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im September 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 72.000,00 (€ 56.751,00).
