Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Untitled (Farmer Plowing) by Krishna Shamrao Kulkarni was sold in the Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2014. It achieved a price of USD 10,625.00 (€ 7,712.13), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 18%. Admittedly, works by Krishna Shamrao Kulkarni have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in September 2006 with an auction result of USD 72,000.00 (€ 56,751.00).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Farmer Plowing) von Krishna Shamrao Kulkarni wurde im März 2014 in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 10.625,00 (€ 7.712,13) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 18%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Krishna Shamrao Kulkarni auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im September 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 72.000,00 (€ 56.751,00).
