Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2014 Sothebys in New York held the auction Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art, which included the work Untitled (Basket Maker) by Krishna Shamrao Kulkarni. Here, the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 8,750.00 (€ 6,351.16). Admittedly, works by Krishna Shamrao Kulkarni have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in September 2006 with an auction result of USD 72,000.00 (€ 56,751.00).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2014 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Basket Maker) von Krishna Shamrao Kulkarni zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 8.750,00 (€ 6.351,16) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Krishna Shamrao Kulkarni auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im September 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 72.000,00 (€ 56.751,00).
