Auction result well in line with expectations
The work 2558 by Korakrit Arunanondchai was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 600,000.00 – 1,200,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 693,000.00 (€ 76,755.39) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Korakrit Arunanondchai have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2015 the work Untitled (History Painting) was auctioned for GBP 96,100.00 (€ 134,419.90).
