Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Roses on a Window Sill, Gurzuf by Konstantin Korovin was sold in the Russian Pictures auction at Sothebys in London in December 2020. It achieved a price of GBP 352,800.00 (€ 394,109.04), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 18%. Admittedly, works by Konstantin Korovin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work View From The Terrace, Gurzuf in June 2008 with an auction result of GBP 1,497,250.00 (€ 1,892,574.20).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Roses on a Window Sill, Gurzuf von Konstantin Korovin wurde im Dezember 2020 in der Auktion Russian Pictures bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 352.800,00 (€ 394.109,04) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 18%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Konstantin Korovin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit View From The Terrace, Gurzuf im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.497.250,00 (€ 1.892.574,20).
