Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2019 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Art Asia: Art on the Runway, which included the work Velvet-Ether (R) (from Metamorphosis Collector's Edition) by Kohei Nawa. The price achieved of HKD 37,500.00 (€ 4,349.31) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kohei Nawa achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work PixCell-Jackalope #5 in April this year with an auction result of HKD 960,000.00 (€ 980,347.83).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2019 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Art Asia: Art on the Runway durch, in der auch die Arbeit Velvet-Ether (R) (from Metamorphosis Collector's Edition) von Kohei Nawa zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 37.500,00 (€ 4.349,31) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kohei Nawa erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit PixCell-Jackalope #5 im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 960.000,00 (€ 980.347,83).
