Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Tiger by Kishi Gantai was sold in the JAPANESE ART AND DESIGN INCLUDING LACQUER AND WORKS OF ART auction at Christies in London in November 2003. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,015.75 (€ 1,458.12). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kishi Gantai - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Lions, which sold at auction in March 2007 for USD 7,800.00 (€ 5,832.21).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Tiger von Kishi Gantai wurde im November 2003 in der Auktion JAPANESE ART AND DESIGN INCLUDING LACQUER AND WORKS OF ART bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.015,75 (€ 1.458,12) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Kishi Gantai mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Lions beobachtet, die im März 2007 für USD 7.800,00 (€ 5.832,21) versteigert wurde.
