In September 2008 Christies in New York held the auction Japanese & Korean Art, which included the work Mount Fuji by Kishi Gantai. The »bidding war« ended at USD 3,750.00 (€ 2,663.16), 25% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kishi Gantai - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Lions, which sold at auction in March 2007 for USD 7,800.00 (€ 5,832.21).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im September 2008 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Japanese & Korean Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mount Fuji von Kishi Gantai zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 3.750,00 (€ 2.663,16) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Kishi Gantai mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Lions beobachtet, die im März 2007 für USD 7.800,00 (€ 5.832,21) versteigert wurde.
