This artwork by Kishi Chikudo achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in September 2005. In the Japanese and Korean Art auction, the work Sparrows, pigeons and other birds and hisbiscus sold for USD 4,800.00 (€ 3,980.76) - well above the upper estimate of USD 2,200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kishi Chikudo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Long-Tailed Magpie In Red Maple With Entwined Locquats, which sold at auction in March 2005 for USD 19,200.00 (€ 14,804.53).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Kishi Chikudo erzielte im September 2005 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Japanese and Korean Art wurde die Arbeit Sparrows, pigeons and other birds and hisbiscus für USD 4.800,00 (€ 3.980,76) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 2.200,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Kishi Chikudo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Long-Tailed Magpie In Red Maple With Entwined Locquats beobachtet, die im März 2005 für USD 19.200,00 (€ 14.804,53) versteigert wurde.
