Auction result well in line with expectations
In November last year Phillips in an online auction held the auction Wired: Online Auction, which included the work The Whisper by Kingsley Obasi. It changed hands for a price of GBP 6,930.00 (€ 8,030.29) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Other works by Kingsley Obasi have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October last year the work Sans titre, 2021 was auctioned for EUR 10,496.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November letzten Jahres führte Phillips in einer Online-Auktion die Auktion Wired: Online Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Whisper von Kingsley Obasi zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 6.930,00 (€ 8.030,29) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Kingsley Obasi konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Oktober letzten Jahres die Arbeit Sans titre, 2021 für EUR 10.496,00 versteigert.
