Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Kimber Smith achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in June 2012. In the Contemporary Art auction, the work Noldi'S Path sold for USD 16,250.00 (€ 12,827.60) - well above the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kimber Smith - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work "Iceberg"., which sold at auction in December 2021 for EUR 50,160.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Kimber Smith erzielte im Juni 2012 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Noldi'S Path für USD 16.250,00 (€ 12.827,60) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Kimber Smith mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit "Iceberg". beobachtet, die im Dezember 2021 für EUR 50.160,00 versteigert wurde.
