This artwork by Kim Joon achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2009. In the Contemporary Asian Art auction, the work Bird Land- Armani sold for HKD 137,500.00 (€ 12,021.35) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 70,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kim Joon - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Blue Fish, which sold at auction in May 2015 for GBP 21,875.00 (€ 30,414.89).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Kim Joon erzielte im Oktober 2009 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art wurde die Arbeit Bird Land- Armani für HKD 137.500,00 (€ 12.021,35) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 70.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Kim Joon mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Blue Fish beobachtet, die im Mai 2015 für GBP 21.875,00 (€ 30.414,89) versteigert wurde.
