This artwork by Khoo Sui Hoe achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2008. In the Southeast Asian Modern and Contemporary Art auction, the work The wedding sold for HKD 37,500.00 (€ 3,087.24) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Khoo Sui Hoe have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calling Coocoo Riverside in May 2015 with an auction result of HKD 125,000.00 (€ 14,667.09).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Khoo Sui Hoe erzielte im Mai 2008 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Southeast Asian Modern and Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit The wedding für HKD 37.500,00 (€ 3.087,24) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Khoo Sui Hoe auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calling Coocoo Riverside im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 125.000,00 (€ 14.667,09).
