In November 2013 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction A Special Selection of Asian 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work Still Life with Fish, Crab, Lobster and Wine by Khaw Sia. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 47,500.00 (€ 4,503.53), 19% above the upper estimate. Other works by Khaw Sia have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of HKD 62,500.00 (€ 7,633.50) in November 2015 for the work Still Life With Crabs.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2013 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion A Special Selection of Asian 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still Life with Fish, Crab, Lobster and Wine von Khaw Sia zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 47.500,00 (€ 4.503,53) und damit 19% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Andere Arbeiten von Khaw Sia haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von HKD 62.500,00 (€ 7.633,50) im November 2015 für die Arbeit Still Life With Crabs beobachtet.
