This artwork by Khaled Al-Jadir achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in June 2021. In the Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art including BaghdadiyatIraqi Masterpieces from the Madhloom and Makiya Collections auction, the work Village Street sold for GBP 9,562.50 (€ 11,142.80) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Khaled Al-Jadir - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait Of A Lady, which sold at auction in October 2010 for USD 52,500.00 (€ 37,786.09).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Khaled Al-Jadir erzielte im Juni 2021 bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art including BaghdadiyatIraqi Masterpieces from the Madhloom and Makiya Collections wurde die Arbeit Village Street für GBP 9.562,50 (€ 11.142,80) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Khaled Al-Jadir mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait Of A Lady beobachtet, die im Oktober 2010 für USD 52.500,00 (€ 37.786,09) versteigert wurde.
