Auction result well in line with expectations
The work City Archway by Khaled Al-Jadir was auctioned at Bonhams in May this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 300.00 – 600.00, the actual price achieved of USD 318.75 (€ 299.18) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Khaled Al-Jadir achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of A Lady in October 2010 with an auction result of USD 52,500.00 (€ 37,786.09).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit City Archway von Khaled Al-Jadir kam im Mai diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 300,00 – 600,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 318,75 (€ 299,18) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Khaled Al-Jadir erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait Of A Lady im Oktober 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 52.500,00 (€ 37.786,09).
