This artwork by Khaled Al-Jadir achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in June 2021. In the Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art including BaghdadiyatIraqi Masterpieces from the Madhloom and Makiya Collections auction, the work Bedouin Tent sold for GBP 5,355.00 (€ 6,239.97) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Khaled Al-Jadir have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait Of A Lady in October 2010 with an auction result of USD 52,500.00 (€ 37,786.09).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 79 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Khaled Al-Jadir erzielte im Juni 2021 bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art including BaghdadiyatIraqi Masterpieces from the Madhloom and Makiya Collections wurde die Arbeit Bedouin Tent für GBP 5.355,00 (€ 6.239,97) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Khaled Al-Jadir auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portrait Of A Lady im Oktober 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 52.500,00 (€ 37.786,09).
