Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Kevin Sinnott could be acquired at Christies in London in March 2009 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 20th Century British Art including The Olga Davenport Collection auction, the work The Rope changed hands for GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,347.94) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Kevin Sinnott have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Over and Above in September 2020 with an auction result of GBP 8,812.50 (€ 9,717.21).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Kevin Sinnott konnte im März 2009 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 20th Century British Art including The Olga Davenport Collection wechselte die Arbeit The Rope für GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.347,94) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Kevin Sinnott auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Over and Above im September 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.812,50 (€ 9.717,21).
