Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction 20th Century British Art, which included the work Study For Turkish Xi by Kevin Sinnott. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,125.00 (€ 3,970.35) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kevin Sinnott - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Over and Above, which sold at auction in September 2020 for GBP 8,812.50 (€ 9,717.21).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2008 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 20th Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Study For Turkish Xi von Kevin Sinnott zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.125,00 (€ 3.970,35) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Kevin Sinnott mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Over and Above beobachtet, die im September 2020 für GBP 8.812,50 (€ 9.717,21) versteigert wurde.
