Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Kenneth Webb achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Olympia in June 2007. In the 20th Century British & Irish Art auction, the work Farmyard sold for GBP 8,400.00 (€ 12,465.18) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Kenneth Webb; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Poppies sold at auction in May 2008 with the realized price of GBP 10,625.00 (€ 13,515.46).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Kenneth Webb erzielte im Juni 2007 bei Sothebys in Olympia einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century British & Irish Art wurde die Arbeit Farmyard für GBP 8.400,00 (€ 12.465,18) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Kenneth Webb; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Poppies im Mai 2008 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 10.625,00 (€ 13.515,46).
