Auction result well in line with expectations
The work House by Ken Whisson was auctioned at Christies in Sydney in August 2001. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of AUD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of AUD 2,232.50 (€ 1,296.03) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ken Whisson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Australian Earth, Houses And Vehicle in November 2007 with an auction result of AUD 48,000.00 (€ 28,915.03).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit House von Ken Whisson kam im August 2001 bei Christies in Sydney zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von AUD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von AUD 2.232,50 (€ 1.296,03) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ken Whisson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Australian Earth, Houses And Vehicle im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 48.000,00 (€ 28.915,03).
