Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2014 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art, which included the work Mutus Liber 30 by Kendell Geers. The price achieved of EUR 5,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kendell Geers achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Twilight of the Idols (Virgin Mary) in February 2008 with an auction result of GBP 66,500.00 (€ 86,979.39).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2014 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mutus Liber 30 von Kendell Geers zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 5.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kendell Geers erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Twilight of the Idols (Virgin Mary) im Februar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 66.500,00 (€ 86.979,39).
