Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Unsuspected presence by Ken Carlson was sold in the Sporting and Wildlife Art auction at Christies in New York in December 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 35,000.00 (€ 25,145.48) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ken Carlson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Prairie Showdown, which sold at auction in February 2019 for USD 112,500.00 (€ 98,866.33).

Die Arbeit Unsuspected presence von Ken Carlson wurde im Dezember 2008 in der Auktion Sporting and Wildlife Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 35.000,00 (€ 25.145,48) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
