Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Elk In Autumn by Ken Carlson was sold in the American Art auction at Sothebys in New York in September 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 15,120.00 (€ 12,903.23) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Ken Carlson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Prairie Showdown in February 2019 with an auction result of USD 112,500.00 (€ 98,866.33).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Elk In Autumn von Ken Carlson wurde im September 2020 in der Auktion American Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 15.120,00 (€ 12.903,23) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ken Carlson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Prairie Showdown im Februar 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 112.500,00 (€ 98.866,33).
