In October 2020 Christies in New York held the auction The Legend of the West: Iconic Works from the T. Boone Pickens Collection, which included the work Mesa Vista Morning by Ken Carlson. The result of USD 25,000.00 (€ 21,464.75) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ken Carlson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Prairie Showdown in February 2019 with an auction result of USD 112,500.00 (€ 98,866.33).

Im Oktober 2020 führte Christies in New York die Auktion The Legend of the West: Iconic Works from the T. Boone Pickens Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mesa Vista Morning von Ken Carlson zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 21.464,75) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ken Carlson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Prairie Showdown im Februar 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 112.500,00 (€ 98.866,33).
