Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mallards In Flight by Ken Carlson was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in April 2011. It changed hands for a price of USD 17,500.00 (€ 11,807.57) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ken Carlson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Prairie Showdown in February 2019 with an auction result of USD 112,500.00 (€ 98,866.33).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Mallards In Flight von Ken Carlson kam im April 2011 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 17.500,00 (€ 11.807,57) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ken Carlson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Prairie Showdown im Februar 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 112.500,00 (€ 98.866,33).
