Upper estimate price exceeded by 33 %.
The work Nature Painting by Keith Tyson was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2020. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 119,700.00 (€ 13,257.75), 33% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Keith Tyson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nature Painting in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 216,000.00 (€ 320,533.14).

Die Arbeit Nature Painting von Keith Tyson wurde im Oktober 2020 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 119.700,00 (€ 13.257,75) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Keith Tyson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nature Painting im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 216.000,00 (€ 320.533,14).
