Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Standing Sphinx - 1989 by Keith Sonnier was auctioned at Artcurial in Paris in June 2021. It changed hands for a price of EUR 19,500.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Keith Sonnier - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in November 2013 for USD 62,500.00 (€ 45,935.62).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Standing Sphinx - 1989 von Keith Sonnier kam im Juni 2021 bei Artcurial in Paris zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 19.500,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Keith Sonnier mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im November 2013 für USD 62.500,00 (€ 45.935,62) versteigert wurde.
