Sold at the upper estimate price
The work Elliptical Shields Series V by Keith Sonnier was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary Art auction at Christies in Amsterdam in November 2018. The auction ended at the price of EUR 3,000.00, which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Keith Sonnier achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in November 2013 with an auction result of USD 62,500.00 (€ 45,935.62).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Elliptical Shields Series V von Keith Sonnier wurde im November 2018 in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 3.000,00 entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Keith Sonnier erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 62.500,00 (€ 45.935,62).
