In September 2016 Christies in London held the auction Brian Sewell - Critic & Collector, which included the work On the Grand Canal, Venice by Keeley Halswelle. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,790.62), 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Keeley Halswelle achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Play Scene in Hamlet Hamlet: He poisons him i' the garden for his estate. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 5.790,62) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Keeley Halswelle erzielen.
