The »bidding war« ended at GBP 4,410.00 (€ 5,187.95), 47% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kattingeri Krishna Hebbar achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in March 2007 with an auction result of USD 216,000.00 (€ 161,507.40).

Die Arbeit Untitled (Versova Beach) von Kattingeri Krishna Hebbar wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion The Surya Collection: Property from Mrs. Ute Rettberg bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 4.410,00 (€ 5.187,95) und damit 47% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kattingeri Krishna Hebbar erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im März 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 216.000,00 (€ 161.507,40).
