Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Landscape) by Kattingeri Krishna Hebbar was sold in the Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2014. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 5,250.00 (€ 3,810.70) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kattingeri Krishna Hebbar achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in March 2007 with an auction result of USD 216,000.00 (€ 161,507.40).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Landscape) von Kattingeri Krishna Hebbar wurde im März 2014 in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 5.250,00 (€ 3.810,70) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kattingeri Krishna Hebbar erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im März 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 216.000,00 (€ 161.507,40).
