This artwork by Kattingeri Krishna Hebbar achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in May 2016. In the South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art auction, the work Untitled (Dancer) sold for GBP 18,750.00 (€ 24,466.77) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Kattingeri Krishna Hebbar have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in March 2007 with an auction result of USD 216,000.00 (€ 161,507.40).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Kattingeri Krishna Hebbar erzielte im Mai 2016 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Untitled (Dancer) für GBP 18.750,00 (€ 24.466,77) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Kattingeri Krishna Hebbar auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im März 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 216.000,00 (€ 161.507,40).
