This artwork by Kasing Lung achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in October 2021. In the Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art auction, the work The Boy Who Drank Stars Limited Edition Exhibition Poster; Three Wise Labubu (Don’T Hear, Don’T See, Don’T Speak) (Set Of Four Pieces) (Executed In 2017 (A) And 2021 (B,C,D)) sold for HKD 57,600.00 (€ 6,407.20) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kasing Lung achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Otto Ule (Painted In 2018) in April this year with an auction result of HKD 144,000.00 (€ 147,052.17).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 92 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Kasing Lung erzielte im Oktober 2021 bei China Guardian einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit The Boy Who Drank Stars Limited Edition Exhibition Poster; Three Wise Labubu (Don’T Hear, Don’T See, Don’T Speak) (Set Of Four Pieces) (Executed In 2017 (A) And 2021 (B,C,D)) für HKD 57.600,00 (€ 6.407,20) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kasing Lung erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Otto Ule (Painted In 2018) im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 144.000,00 (€ 147.052,17).
