Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Perfect Day by Kasing Lung was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in December last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 150,000.00 – 300,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 163,800.00 (€ 19,629.05) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Kasing Lung have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Otto Ule (Painted In 2018) in April this year with an auction result of HKD 144,000.00 (€ 147,052.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A Perfect Day von Kasing Lung kam im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 150.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 163.800,00 (€ 19.629,05) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Kasing Lung auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Otto Ule (Painted In 2018) im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 144.000,00 (€ 147.052,17).
