In September 2005 Christies in New York held the auction Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture, which included the work Teasing My Best Friend by Karl Witkowski. Here, the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 9,000.00 (€ 7,463.92).
