In April 2012 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture, which included the work Guarding The Flower Basket by Karl Witkowski. The »bidding war« ended at USD 9,750.00 (€ 7,370.17), 22% above the upper estimate. Other works by Karl Witkowski have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 10,000.00 (€ 8,824.57) in October 2018 for the work First Love.
