A top price for Karl Witkowski - as previously expected
The work First Love by Karl Witkowski was sold in the American Art auction at Sothebys in New York in October 2018. The result of USD 10,000.00 (€ 8,824.57) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, First Love is the most expensive artwork by Karl Witkowski that we have observed at auctions so far.
