Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2004 Christies in London held the auction OLD MASTER PICTURES, which included the work A forest floor still life with snakes, butterflies, snails, a grasshopper and a lizard by Carl Wilhelm de Hamilton. It changed hands for a price of GBP 3,346.00 (€ 4,815.81) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carl Wilhelm de Hamilton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Forest floor still lifes with lizards, snakes, Painted Lady butterflies, a Red Tiger moth, snails, thistle and convolvulus in April 2002 with an auction result of GBP 146,750.00 (€ 237,437.65).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2004 führte Christies in London die Auktion OLD MASTER PICTURES durch, in der auch die Arbeit A forest floor still life with snakes, butterflies, snails, a grasshopper and a lizard von Carl Wilhelm de Hamilton zur Versteigerung kam.
