Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A forest floor still-life with a lizard, butterflies, snails and a snake by Carl Wilhelm de Hamilton was auctioned at Christies in London in October 2004. The price achieved of GBP 10,755.00 (€ 15,479.40) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carl Wilhelm de Hamilton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Forest floor still lifes with lizards, snakes, Painted Lady butterflies, a Red Tiger moth, snails, thistle and convolvulus in April 2002 with an auction result of GBP 146,750.00 (€ 237,437.65).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A forest floor still-life with a lizard, butterflies, snails and a snake von Carl Wilhelm de Hamilton kam im Oktober 2004 bei Christies in London zur Auktion.
