Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Shrike Perching On A Branch by Carl Wilhelm de Hamilton was sold in the Old Master and British Works on Paper Including drawings from the Oppé Collection auction at Sothebys in London in July 2016. The price achieved of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,644.03) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carl Wilhelm de Hamilton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Forest floor still lifes with lizards, snakes, Painted Lady butterflies, a Red Tiger moth, snails, thistle and convolvulus in April 2002 with an auction result of GBP 146,750.00 (€ 237,437.65).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A Shrike Perching On A Branch von Carl Wilhelm de Hamilton wurde im Juli 2016 in der Auktion Old Master and British Works on Paper Including drawings from the Oppé Collection bei Sothebys in London versteigert.
