The work Cape Cornwall by Karl Weschke was sold in the Modern British and Irish Art auction at Bonhams in London in November this year. It achieved a price of GBP 7,680.00 (€ 8,899.45), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 54%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Karl Weschke; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Seated Figure sold at auction in July 2012 with the realized price of GBP 9,375.00 (€ 11,941.23).

Die Arbeit Cape Cornwall von Karl Weschke wurde im November diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 7.680,00 (€ 8.899,45) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 54%. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Karl Weschke; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Seated Figure im Juli 2012 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 9.375,00 (€ 11.941,23).
