Auction result well in line with expectations
In November this year Bonhams in London held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work Blue Horse by Karl Weschke. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,480.00 (€ 5,191.35) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Karl Weschke - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Seated Figure, which sold at auction in July 2012 for GBP 9,375.00 (€ 11,941.23).
