Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work "Fåfängan, vinterafton" (Evening scene from Stockholm in winter) by Karl Nordström was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in December 2018, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 150,000.00 – 200,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 120,000.00 (€ 11,805.17). Other works by Karl Nordström have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in June 2011 by the work "Skymning Hallandskusten" (Twilight over the coast of Halland) at SEK 175,000.00 (€ 19,111.07).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit "Fåfängan, vinterafton" (Evening scene from Stockholm in winter) von Karl Nordström im Dezember 2018 bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 150.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 120.000,00 (€ 11.805,17) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Karl Nordström wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Juni 2011 die Arbeit "Skymning Hallandskusten" (Twilight over the coast of Halland) mit SEK 175.000,00 (€ 19.111,07).
